Transitional Living Program

The program is directed by masters-level counselors and certified alcohol and drug counselors who provide a coordinated treatment program consisting of regularly scheduled sessions within a structured therapeutic milieu. Groups integrated with the Twelve Step Facilitation Model (a method described in the textbook of Alcoholics Anonymous) focus on goals and interventions that can stabilize emotional and behavioral distress while assisting the client in applying skills necessary to maintain sobriety.

The Transitional Living Home is a beautifully renovated 3,300-square foot home with six semi-private rooms located on the campus of the hospital. The setting is ideal for patients to continue the road to recovery. The program encourages the participant to be responsible for his own care and recovery through encouragement to accept the philosophy, education and motivation of self. The program is staffed 24 hours per day with mental health associates, dedicated licensed therapist, with oversight by a psychiatrist.

The Residential Transitional Living Program Services include the following:

  • Comprehensive evaluation and intervention by a certified alcohol and drug counselor
  • Individualized treatment plan designed to meet individual needs
  • Educational groups which focus on the disease concept, the 12 Steps of AA/NA, and the process of recovery
